She was born around 1888 and died around 1911-1913, don't know when or where for sure. She is possibly buried in Eloris/Elora/Lois TN some Cross Rd Cemetery (Lexis, TN) as you can tell I really don't know I am going by some notes I wrote about 30+ years ago when I didn't think much about this and my Grandmother was still alive. On the top of the certificate the state Tenn and county Franklin is handwritten. In the center of that it has XVI then Agriculture Commerce. At the bottom "Given at the Clerk's Office of said County this 24 day of Jan 1905." Signed by Geo. Maselley (?spelling?) County Court Clerk then on the last line is written/signed "By P.B. Kerth or Kirth (?or Kesth/Kisth?) There is nothing written in the Recored in Marriage Record_____ nor the Book or Page numbers. They were married by the Justice of the Peace T. E. Newling (at least that is what it looks like) Thank you for the information. They may have supplemental information on record. After 1850 public records offices were required to keep such information. Secondly you might contact the church (if noted) where the marriage took place. The parents may be on a list of members or there may be baptismal information. > A Death certificate may also provide such information. If the date is known you might be able to check the ssdi. for location. A local library might be able to find an obituary. > > Patricia Sprenger wrote: > > > I have a copy of the marriage certificate from the microfilm at the Franklin > > County Library and there was no date/place of birth nor parents names. > > Where else could I check for more info? > > ----- Original Message ----- > > From: "Dave and Emma Richardson -" <[email protected]> > > To: <[email protected]> > > Sent: Sunday, May 05, 2002 3:30 PM > > Subject: Re: [RICHARDSON] Re: RICHARDSON-D Digest V02 #29 > > > > > The record of her marriage should give her parents, Date and Place of > > birth.
