Hi Bob ,,,, I doubt that RootsWeb has a virus ,, there are several virus' that can make you think a msg. came from the list when actually it was sent from an infected computer of someone who is on the list ,, more than likely it is the BadTrans virus. NAME: BadTrans ALIAS: IWorm_Badtrans, I-Worm.Badtrans The worm component operates similar to I-Worm.ZippedFiles (aka ExploreZip) worm: by using Windows MAPI functions it gets access to Inbox and "answers" all unread messages.
