To Amy McCroskie in Denver: You mentioned that you had Richardsons who went to or through LA. Do you know who they were? I am looking for information on Henry Dickenson Richardson who married Catherine Caroline Priestley. They lived on the Priestley Plantation in St. James Parish, LA. She was the granddaughter of Joseph Priestley who discovered oxygen. I have few dates but know Caroline was born abt. 1818 and Henry abt. 1814. They married 1837 LA.
