I would get someone check the local November 1910 newspapers in both areas for an obituary.Sometimes the obituaries ran a week or two later than the actual death. The deaths were sometimes reported in socieiy column write-ups too,but most were brief, but will back up the place and date of death. We found our ancestors obituary. It contained a gold mine of information on his movements & history. He was born in NY.moved to Ohio then Illinois and died in California. All of which proved to be correct. But even so,some obituaries have errors. For example my grandmother was listed as a niece in her step-grandfathers obit.We happened to know the relation and that helped spot the error.
