My direct line didn't come to the U.S. until the late 1800s and by then were intermarried with the Kirkbrides and Birtwhistles so that particular research is centered in Workington, Whitehaven and later Manchester. I think the Richardsons were captains of ships but can't find it for sure. There are lots of good links in that area of England. DeEtte.
