I have a copy of this book myself. Although 'Not published', there's a copy in the British Library, and there's also one currently available through Bookfinder.com, at 157 GBP. The author, George Richardson, was my 4x great-uncle, and the William & Elizabeth Richardson you mention were my 7x great-grandparents. The Richardsons became a well-known Quaker family in the North-East of England. Among their descendants were John Wigham Richardson, founder of what became the Swan Hunter shipyard, and Sir Ralph Richardson, the actor. George Richardson himself was a well-known Quaker, and earned himself an entry in the /Oxford Dictionary of National Biography. /My great-grandmother, Elizabeth Richardson, is the most recent of my forebears to be mentioned in the book, midway down p. 63. My best guess for the identity of the Hannah Richardson who owned your copy is the author's great-niece Hannah Richardson, b. 1827 in Darlington, d. 1911 in York. This excellent book is one of the principal sources for the early history of this family, and I used it a lot in compiling the Richardson page of my website (URL in my signature). Best wishes, / /Ben -- Benjamin S. Beck benjaminbeck@ukonline.co.uk http://web.ukonline.co.uk/benjaminbeck
Ben: I am looking for info on Clement Richardson and William Clement Richardson. Clement was born on May 25, 1756 and William was born on September 7, 1794 in Ohio. I do not know which line they are from and have been blocked in my search. Just thought you might have run into these names. Thanks, Rev.William G.
