    1. Wm RICHARDSON
    2. I am looking for the William RICHARDSON family who lived in Belleville, Ontario, Canada and then came to Chicago about 1871. They lived in Chicago, Oak Park and Downers Grove, IL. I know nothing of Wm's family. No idea of parents. His death certificate didn't include his parents' names but did say he was born in Quebec. William RICHARDSON (1835-1921) married Mary BOGART (1841-1910). Their children (most born in Canada): William jr, Harry Bogart (my g g'father), Grace, Minnie, Frederick, and Thyra. Grace never married, Minnie died as a child. Thyra married and died young. William jr and Frederick are mysteries. I did find that Frederick was living in Indiana in 1921 (but can't find him in 1920 census!) since he gave the vague information about his father on the death certificate. I have no idea what happened to Fredrick after or before that and no idea what happened to son William jr. The only mention I have of him is when he is living with his parents in Chicago in the 1880 census (age 18) working as an architect. I haven't been able to get back any further than Wm RICHARDSON in this family line. I have a photograph that might be a clue. It is labeled: "Robert Richardson (father Thomas). Another clue (or missinformation). In the 1880 and 1910 censuses William says he was born in Canada and his parents in Ireland In the 1900 census, William says he and his father were born in Canada and his mother in England The family legend is that the family came from Belfast. My BOGART and RICHARDSON relatives are my most elusive! They gave census takers different information as to years of birth, etc. I'm taking their year's of birth and death from their death certificates. Thank you, Erica Voolich
