    3. Yes. I remember you well: Who are your Richardson there in AR. Mine were all from Carroll CO. AR. Samuel and his br. Thomas both had large families. There are some of Samuel's line still in that area. But we can not get beyond Samuel K. b. 1806 GA. His wife was Elizabeth Jane Harvey b. 1832 TN and I have the line of Harvey's traced pretty well. His first wife was Jane Hassler b. 1809 TN. there were 4-5 children of them together. I'd love to find one of the descendents of Jane Hassler and Samuel Richardson. 2. Do you happen to know any of the other children of this Johnathan Richardson? I'm looking for a John Richardson, aka whatever, who married Elizabeth Overstreet in 1801 in Bedford Co. VA. (Bedford Co. marriage record). Tentative children of this marriage are: Nancy, b. abt 1801, m. William H. Hudson in Bedford Elizabeth, b. abt 1805 William, b. abt 1807 Mary "Polly", b. abt 1811, m. Bartlett C. Nichols in Bedford Sarah "Sally", b. 27 Feb 1812, m. Nathaniel N. Tate in Bedford Thomas J., b. 06 June 1814 m. Sarah (possibly Hankley/Hankla) , m. Mary Creal in LaRue Co. KY Matilda, b. abt 1817, m. Thomas Lumpkin? This list of possible children was given to me by the Overstreet list, but no proof. Their Elizabeth seems to have disappeared after her Bedford marriage record, so no documentation that these children belong to this John Richardson, except Bedford Co., marriage records for these daughters and a leap of faith. How many Johns are there? Zillions. My ancestor, Thomas J. Richardson, VA>KY>TX, is documented by census records and family history. He fits neatly into this 1814 birth slot on the list and that's all I have to go on for his parentage, other than old family history, which says his mother was an Overstreet who was part Cherokee. Overstreet people tell me Elizabeth Overstreet's parents were Thomas Overstreet, Jr. and Barsheba Turner and that she was part Cherokee, another piece in the puzzle. If anyone connects with any of this, I would love to hear from you. Wanda Richardson I can't answer your first question - How many are there? - but I can guarantee you there are zillions of Johns and many with an aka. Needle in a haystack. Wanda Richardson

    3. Yes, right. The birth certificate would help and, likely, also the death certificate. Have you checked obituaries? Look, also at the 1930 Census when Kenneth would have been two years old, surely listed with parents. ----- Original Message ----- From: "Mike Gillmore" <magfamhist@sssnet.com> To: <RICHARDSON-L@rootsweb.com> Sent: Saturday, August 13, 2005 10:23 PM Subject: [RICHARDSON] Richardson, Kenneth - b 1928 Utah > Hello List, > > I am working on my wife's line and have started on her fathers side of the > family. 3. I have recently joined this list and this is my first posting. I have been working on my genealogy since 1992; took time off from it for approximately 4 yrs. or so & have gotten back into my genealogy about 3 months ago. I have searched the "Richardson" List archives from present date to 1999 to see if I could find some sort of U.S. connection for my "Richardson's" to no avail. My Richardson Line: My gr-gr-grandfather - Philip Richardson b:approx. 1813 - Upper Canada, Lennox County, Ontario m: Nancy PARKS/PARKE (b:4 June, 1823, Fredricksburgh Twp., Lennox & Addington Co., Upper Canada, Ontario) married approx. 1842/43, (I am assuming they were married in Lennox & Addington County, Ontario; though I have not yet found a Marriage Registration / Marriage entry. The lineage of Nancy PARKS/PARKE is well documented on Rootsweb.com as she is the granddaughter of Cyrenius PARKE UE. Philip RICHARDSON & Nancy PARKS/PARKE had issue of: -Sarah Ann: b: approx. 1843, Lennox Co., Ontario; -James b: 31 Jan., 1848, Lennox Co., Ontario; Elias Nathaniel: b: 5 Apr., 1853(?) Lennox Co., Ontario; Mary Milisa: b: 22 June, 1849, Lennox Co., Ontario; Adalinda Jane: b:approx. 1851 Lennox Co., Ontario; John G.: b: approx. 1855, Lennox Co., Ontario; Elizabeth: b: 16 Nov., 1861(?), Lennox Co., Ontario; *Joseph Milo: b: 19 Sept., 1860, Fredricksburgh, Lennox Co., Ontario. *Denotes my gr-grandfather. I have the Philip RICHARDSON/Nancy PARKS/PARKE family in the 1851, 1861, 1871, 1881, 1891 Census'. (Upper Canada, Canada West) Philip RICHARDSON: d: 27 Dec., 1898, Hillier Twp., Prince Edward Co., Ontario, Canada; Nancy PARKS/PARKE RICHARDSON changed her first name to JANE in the 1891 Census; d: 1896, Hillier Twp., Prince Edward Co., Ontario, Canada; Philip & Nancy are buried at Bowerman's McFaul Cemetery, Hillier Twp., Prince Edward Co., Ontario, Canada. I for the life of me have not been able to find Philip's siblings and parents; It is quite possible that Philip is the younger brother of ASA JR. RICHARDSON (m: Mary(?) who had issue of: John, Michael, Margarett Jane, James, Rebecca, Thomas & Jacob (re: 1851 Census Fredricksburgh Twp., District 5, (either Lennox & Addington Co. or Prince Edward Co.), Ontario, Canada. I have quite alot of info on the children of Philip & Nancy RICHARDSON. I would appreciate any opinions, thoughts, ideas whatsoever!! I thank you so very much. 3. Hi Ann I'm the one looking for John Richardson Ny or Vt. I appreciate the tip on this John who married Hannah Fairbanks (I've come to think of him as "Sparta John"). I've seen some of this information and it makes my pulse rate increase every time...it is SO CLOSE to what I'm looking for. Calculating from later census records and gravestone, my GG Grandfather John was born in 1799, while the "Sparta John" was c 1794...five years difference but Maybe?? My John, and apparently Sparta John, were variously reported as born in NY or Vt. My John's wife (at least in the later years) was Eunice, rather than Hannah...although there could have been a first marriage?? Curiously, "Clark" was the maiden name of John's wife Eunice...echoing a "Clark" in the data on Sparta John. Both men spent years in New York but my John was in Chautauqua (and possibly Franklin) not Cortland County. Finally, both men wound up in Wisconsin and died within a year of one another, Sparta John in 1875 and my John in 1876. However, they lived and died in very different places: Sparta, Monroe County and Union, Rock County. So, no matter how I wish for it, I just flat can't make it match. Darn. But, as final coincidence, I'll note that I'm also looking for another researcher AND I'm also "in Kansas!" ----- Original Message ----- From: "Ann Murphy" <emurphy64@cox.net> To: <RICHARDSON-L@rootsweb.com> Sent: Saturday, August 06, 2005 11:36 AM Subject: Re: [RICHARDSON] Ny - Wii > wasn't some one looking for John Rchardson Ny or Vt > > John Richardson b. abt 1794 Ny or Vt d.10 nov 1875 Sparta, Monroe Co. NY Date: 7/31/05 10:24:42 PM Pacific Daylight Time From: NanSicotte To: lornakw@hotmail.com Hello Lorna: Do your Richardson records of MA show a Lucretia Richardson born 1768? Could she be a sister to your William Richardson? This Lucretia Richardson married Chester Cady of Pomfret CT in 1786. Their daughter Laura Cady married Orrin Brown of Herkimer Co.
