    3. I just put them up as text and when they come back my reader recognizes them as a web address and creates the link. If you have the link imbedded rootsweb may be stripping out the link and adding it ass text giving the message as delivered 2 copies. 1. Moses Adams Richardson home, Foxboro, MA
    2. Gary Richardson
    3. #26 Baker Street, Foxborough, MA was the home of Moses Adams Richardson, originally from Belgrade, Maine. Foxboro has done a nice job documenting the history of these homes, and they are all in excellent condition. A friend of mine happens to own #13, but until yesterday, I had no idea there was also a Richardson home across the street! Moses was the son of John Richardson and Martha Adams, and a descendant of the 3 brothers in the Vinton "Richardson Memorial". The family lived in Attleboro, MA and Woburn, MA prior to moving to Belgrade, and then back to MA again. This line also includes the Vinton family, who intermarried with the Richardson's on numerous occasions through the years. The Richardson's also had several marriages with the Wyman family. You'll find Moses' parents and siblings in the 1850 Belgrade, ME census, along with his cousins, the Stephen Richardson family. Stephen and John were brothers, and all are listed as farmers. If the link comes to you "doubled up", meaning the same address is listed twice, it will appear not to work. Simply copy and paste the part of the link that begins with http and ends with hses.htm, and it will work. 3. Hi~ Thanks for the response! No, I'm not related on that line. My husband's family is from the Robert Cook line that came from New York and Canada and settled in Clinton County, Iowa in the 1840s. My connection to the Richardsons is through Robert Cook's daughter, Melissa Luella Cook, who married Lysander L. Richardson in 1880 (they were both previously divorced). They settled in Kansas City, Wyandotte, Kansas where Lysander died in 1910, and Luella died in 1934 in Leavenworth county. As far as I can tell, they didn't have any children, but Lysander's obituary leads me to believe he may have had a daughter from his first marriage. Take care, and Happy New Year! Steve: Thanks for your reply. Both the 1906 Rosell Richardson book and the 1971 Doreen Potter Hanna book list a Lucretia Richardson as the daughter of Stephen Richardson and Mabel Marsh. Both say she married Chester Cady (1786). However, the Hanna book says she also married Benjamin Jewett in 1787. The American Compendium of Genealogy traces someone's Jewett lineage back to Benjamin Jewett and Lucretia Richardson, daughter of Stephen and Mabel Richardson. This makes it appear that the Jewett marriage is the correct one. My Lucretia Richardson and Chester Cady were married many years, had ten children, and are both buried in the Sabin Cemetery in Pomfret CT. I just realized that this Lucretia Richardson would not be in Amos Richardson's will, but possibly in the will of his son, Stephen Richardson (1732 - 1809). I have that Stephen died in Windsor, Hartford Co. CT. His daughter Lucretia would be either a Cady or a Jewett. Does anyone have a will for this Stephen Richardson, son of Amos Richardson and Rachel Yarrington? Thanks so much for any information. Nancy Sicotte

    3. Do you have any sources for Lucretia Richardson Cady being the daughter of Stephen Richardson and Mabel Marsh? I've found the parents, without a daughter Lucretia. Also found a website that seems to list just about everyone in New England, including 3 Chester Cady's, 2-3 Lucretia Richardson's, and much more. One of the Lucretia's is a member of a Richardson family descended from Thomas Richardson, in the Worcester, MA area. Part of the old Harrington and Richardson Arms company in Worcester. http://newenglandgenealogy.pcplayground.com/sjc.htm Gary Allen Richardson PS, if the URL "adds" a duplicate address in this email, you'll need to copy and paste just the original part of the URL. It starts with http://newenglandgenealogy and ends with sjc.htm

    3. I have a copy of this book myself. Although 'Not published', there's a copy in the British Library, and there's also one currently available through Bookfinder.com, at 157 GBP. The author, George Richardson, was my 4x great-uncle, and the William & Elizabeth Richardson you mention were my 7x great-grandparents. The Richardsons became a well-known Quaker family in the North-East of England. Among their descendants were John Wigham Richardson, founder of what became the Swan Hunter shipyard, and Sir Ralph Richardson, the actor. George Richardson himself was a well-known Quaker, and earned himself an entry in the /Oxford Dictionary of National Biography. /My great-grandmother, Elizabeth Richardson, is the most recent of my forebears to be mentioned in the book, midway down p. 63. My best guess for the identity of the Hannah Richardson who owned your copy is the author's great-niece Hannah Richardson, b. 1827 in Darlington, d. 1911 in York. This excellent book is one of the principal sources for the early history of this family, and I used it a lot in compiling the Richardson page of my website (URL in my signature).
