Amy, which ones drifted over to Louisiana Dan Richardson

I have information that many other Richardsons from Cherokee Co., Ala went to Miss. I also have an old letter where a man mentions that John Richardson and brother Wesley Richardson went to Illinois in 1858. Then other information indicates some of this line was from Ohio. But this census says John and Sarah were born in SC. Does anyone know where the following family went after the Civil War? Cherokee Co., Ala 1860 census 400-450 John W. Richardson 41 m farmer SC Sarah 28 f SC (she was marked age 27 in 1850 census Elias M 20 m GA John T. m GA Isaac F 14 m GA Cinthia E 12 m GA William H 10m GA George D 8 m GA Bayles E 5m Ala Jesse M 3m Ala This family was in DeKalb Co., Ga 1850 census . On Elias’ death certificate mother is named as Sarah Harbin and father John Wesley Richardson. Elias joined the 19th Ala Infantry, and after the war he is found in Randolph Co. Ala living with the family of Robert and Jane (Richardson) McCarley who were also in Cherokee Co in 1860. They do not appear to be close relatives. Jane was daughter of Thomas and Delilah (Robbins) Richardson. I have never been able to locate John W. nor any of the family except Elias after the Civil War. In reply to Sandra Doolittle, You asked if anyone knows of any Georgia Richardsons..... my entire family of Richardsons were in Georgia, but Hancock County and a few in Richmond, Columbia and Jones County, GA. Then the line drifted over into Washington and St. Helena Parish, Louisiana. I don't know of any of mine that were in Spaulding County, GA but you never know. Amy McCroskie Denver, CO

John Richardson GIFFORD – John J. Richardson, 75, of Gifford died at 6:54 a.m. Tuesday (Feb. 2, 1999) at Provena Covenant Medical Center, Urbana. Funeral services will be at 11 a.m. Friday at St. Malachy's Catholic Church, Rantoul. The Rev. Jeffrey Laible will officiate. Burial will be in St. Laurence Cemetery, Penfield.
