    3. Looking for information on an ALFRED ROSS RICHARDSON. I do not know when or were he was born at. He is my great Grandfather. I do know that he married a NETTIE BELL HESS who was born in VIRGINIA in July of 1909. Then lived in FANNIN COUNTY TEXAS at one point and had two children-LARETA FAYE RICHARDSON who was born 8/2/1936 and JIMMY ROSS RICHARDSON born 7/23/1932 born in FANNIN COUNTY TEXAS. Nettie and Alfred split up or something as my grandpa Jimmy said that he never seen his dad after he was six years old so that would be that they split up in 1938 for some reason. Nettie went on to marry a man ? MCMORRIS and they had a daughter together named BELL TEX MCMORRIS she was born in FORT WORTH TEXAS AREA and now lives in MCRAY ARKANSAS. LARETA FAYE RICHARDSON died in 1995. NETTIE BELL HESS RICHARDSON MCMORRIS died around 1998 in MCRAY ARKANSAS AND IS BURIED IN JACKSONVILLE ARKANSAS. Thanks in advance. 3. Hello Amy, I sure am interested in your Richardson line in GA. I have been looking for my great-great grandfather Samuel Richardson for some time: This is what I have for him. Elizabeth Jane (unknown) born ca.1832 in TN. m. date ca. 1848-49 Their first child: #1.M. Cornealy Richardson b.ca.1849-50 GA. [ Samuel Richardson had connection with the Maples of Sevier CO. TN. his son Seaman later married Sarah Maples d/o Americus B. Maples. Some of the Maples and Samuel Richardson moved to Carroll Co. AR. approx the same time before 1852, Both Maples and Richardson are in the 1860 census] 2. Frances A. Richardson b. ca. 1852 in Carroll CO. AR. 3. Orlena Richardson b. ca. 1854 not in 1870 census 4. Seaman B. Richardson b. 1-29-1858 Carroll CO. AR. d. 7-2-1943 (same) m. Sarah Malinda Maples b. and d. in Carroll CO. AR. 5. James L. Richardson b.ca.1861 AR. 6. Erimie F. Richardson b.ca.1862 AR. 7. Haynes All my mother's and father's people came from the same area of N.&S C. VA. GA. TN. MS. KY. and either moved to AR. and then to TX, or stayed in AR. 1. [RICHARDSON] Louisiana/Georgia Richardsons
    2. Dear Jan, Yes, I have a line of Richardsons that were in Louisiana in the early to mid 1800's. My Daniel Richardson (Senior) was in Culpepper, VA. He and his wife Prudence Leatherlin ended up with sons that were in Hancock County, GA. In fact, I venture to say all the Hancock County, GA Richardsons were "mine" one way or another. We are somehow connected with the WOMACK line there, just haven't figured it out yet. One of their sons, Enoch Richardson and wife Mary Harris are my direct ancestors. Enoch's son, James A. Richardson and his wife Rachel Young ended up in Washington Parish, Louisiana. Augustus, another son, also ended up in Washington Parish as well as Enoch (junior). James A. Richardson, wife Rachel Young and their children and brother Augustus ended up in Missouri until James died, then Rachel and one of their sons went to Trinity County, TX where they lived for the remainder of their lives and where they are buried. Enoch (junior) and George ended up over in St. Helena Parish, LA which later became Livingston Parish. Another son, Samuel Richardson ended up over in Rankin County, MS on a large plantation. I don't recognize your Richardson names but they could very well be part of this line. I will go back through all my records to see if I have them and let you know. I'm also not aware of any of my line in St. James Parish, but again, could be. I will look for you and get back as soon as possible. The Priestley name does sound familiar but I have few brain cells left this time of day. LOL I'll look it up before I jump in with an answer on that one. Thanks for writing! Amy McCroskie Denver, CO

    2. To Amy McCroskie in Denver: You mentioned that you had Richardsons who went to or through LA. Do you know who they were? I am looking for information on Henry Dickenson Richardson who married Catherine Caroline Priestley. They lived on the Priestley Plantation in St. James Parish, LA. She was the granddaughter of Joseph Priestley who discovered oxygen. I have few dates but know Caroline was born abt. 1818 and Henry abt. 1814. They married 1837 LA. My Richardson's are supposed to be related and I am trying to find the migration from OH to LA. Thanks. Jan [email protected]

    1. [RICHARDSON] William Wallace Richardson
    2. Dan, Sorry it took so long to get back with you. I have looked through all my Richardson files and can't find any names that "exactly" match your William Wallace Richardson born 1825. Unfortunately many of the names I have in file do not have initials or middle names. Many out of my line went through VA, SC, GA, LA, MS and TX, also MO. Is there a chance this child of Jesse and Margaret is your William? I'm really sorry. This is the only William Richardson I have that comes close to the birthdate you are searching. Amy McCroskie Denver, CO JESSE RICHARDSON was born Abt. 1803 in Kentucky, and died in Henry, Missouri. He married MARGARET SMITH July 24, 1822 in Hardin, Kentucky. She was born Bef. 1801. 2. Dear Joe, Good morning and happy Wednesday! Hope all is going well for you. I really envy you and the trip to Mt. Zion's homecoming. I wish I had been able to go. When I was there last year, I was amazed with all the names of folks that are buried at Mt. Zion. Richardsons and Womacks must have been related somewhere along the line but I can't prove it... yet. I'm planning to go to Bennett Cemeterie's homecoming next year in May, rain or shine. I wish I could just simply move back to Lufkin or Nacogdoches and retire. It's still my favorite place in the entire world. Amy

    3. Richardsons of New Kent Early 1700's With some exceptions, the major records of New Kent County prior to 1865 have been destroyed. A sometimes overlooked record of the early 1700's is the transcription of the parish records of that period. I am very sure that my Richardson ancestor, Elijah Richardson Sr. (ca. 1761 - 1854) of Henry County, Virginia links back to New Kent County, but I have never found the conclusive proof I seek. I have transcribed the Richardson entries in C. G. Chamberlayne's book in hopes they may be of interest to other genealogists searching for their Richardson ancestors. Reference The Vestry Book and Register of St. Peter's Parish, New Kent and James City Counties, Virginia, 1684 - 1786, Transcribed nd edited by C. G. Chamberlayne (Richmond, 1937). 1. [RICHARDSON] Particular Richardson of new kent Co. VA
    2. Dear List, There are five RICHARDSON families living in New Kent Co. VA in the 1810 Census, including one John Richardson. I am looking for a family relationship between the Richardson families and the Mannin/Manning families, particularly the man named Richardson Mannin on the 1810 New Kent Co. VA Census. Could a Richardson woman have been the wife to one of the Mannin men in New Kent, setting up the sequence of naming children by the first name of Richardson? Thanks!! Darlene Block
