Dear Rich list members: The Rich list has grown by another 17 members in the past few weeks! We now have 221 of us willing to share information on our RICH ancestry. The list has been pretty quiet lately, although we're starting to see some of our newer members posting queries. I always feel bad when a posting goes unanswered but, rest assured, there are many of us who look at each one and dig into our archives to try to find an answer -- many times to no avail. I don't always respond if I don't find an answer, but I always look! I hope everyone takes the time to search his or her database and archives to help answer queries. That's how it's all supposed to work. And remember to post your answers to the list, not just via personal e-mail -- especially if you think the answer may benefit others. Please remember too that the Rich Family Association in Wellfleet, Massachusetts (USA) remains the best way to really begin your search. They are the repository of a wealth of information, especially on New England Riches. The spring '99 issue of Kinfolk should be arriving soon! Every now and then a "roll call" of subscribers is helpful, as "cousins" tend to discover each other. Please feel free to check in and list your line of descent from your immigrant ancestor, and let everyone else know of your unsolved mysteries.
