Elaine (and RICH-L Listserv): No one knows where Richard Rich of Cape Cod came from. Most suppose it was England. His first appearance was when he witnessed the sale of the Ketch "George and Samuel" at Piscataqua (Dover Point), NH on December 5, 1667. He was a mariner and died in October 1692. He married, before 29 February 1671, Sarah Roberts, daughter of Thomas Roberts of New Hampshire. She preceded him in death.
