I posted this awhile back, but here is is again. Does anyone have any info on these families? ... I have an Anthony Rich (9 Jun 1787-16 Jun 1843) who married, in 1809, Maria Ann Mann (30 Sep 1792- 13 Jul 1871). Anthony Rich reportedly participated in the War of 1812. Anthony Rich was the son of Jonathan, son of Joseph, son of John, son of John. Anthony's parents, grandparents, etc. - the Rich family ancestors were of Solebury, Bucks Co., PA, and the other lines of Buckingham, and Middleton, and Plumstead, all towns/townships/villages in Bucks Co., PA. Anthony Rich was the g-g-g-grandson of Humphrey Morrey (d.1716), the first Mayor of Philadelphia, PA. (see my web site below) I don't really have much more on this Rich line, just this much from some notations on my grandfather's chart and a few notes my mother collected. Here is my Rich line: 1. Joseph Rich (1734-181x) of Middletown, md. 1759, Elizabeth Brown (1736-1823), dau of Alexander Brown and Esther Dyer [Middletown is in Bucks Co., PA] 4. Jonathan Rich (1764-1844) md. [1783?] Rosanna Kemble 5. Anthony Rich (9 June 1787- 16 Jun 1843) [war of 1812 vet.] md. Maria Ann Mann (30 Sep 1792-13 Jun 1871) of near Doylestown, Bucks, PA 6. Jonathan Rich (7 Feb 1812- 25 Oct 1885) md. Alice Torbert Slack (27 Feb 1815-6 Jul 1885) 7. James Snodgrass Rich (17 Jan 1840-16 Jan 1921) md. 1866, Romaine Madeline Henderson (10 Apr 1842-26 Jan 1912) 8. Margaret Williams Rich (24 Aug 1871-27 May 1938) md. 9 Jun 1892, Charles Barnes Williams (2 Feb 1864-17 Nov 1928) 9. Dorothy Barrett Williams md. John Sparhawk Wurts 10. Davis Page Wurts md.
