The story of the Thomas Rich cabin was reported in "Kinfolk", journal of the Rich Family Association, Fall/Winter issue, 1996. Previously Kinfolk reported in the spring issue, 1995 and again in Fall/winter 1995. These articles trace the story of the finding of the cabin and the efforts to save it--successful efforts--and finally the dedication in the last article. RFA Life member Margie Rich French was active in all these efforts. The last article has photos of the cabin at the time of its official opening April 27-28 1996 which included celebrations of 200 years of history for the city of Loveland, Ohio M Lighthall, production editor of Kinfolk.
