I am looking for any connection to the Rich family which came to America about 1890 from Guebwiller (Gebweiler) Alsace. At the time, it was part of Germany, but now it is part of France. Here is a very partial Lineage: Joseph Valentine Rich, b. Feb 12, 1799, Guebwiller (did not emigrate) Thiebaut Rich, b. Jan 28, 1842, Guebwiller Camille Rich, b. May 12, 1869, Guebwiller Theobald Rich, b. Sep 9, 1880, Guebwiller I am descended from Camille. There were other siblings of Camille and Theobald, but mainly I am looking for info on Theobald. Thiebaut, Camille, and Theobald lived in Paterson, NJ until after 1910 or so, and may have moved to NYC. Thiebaut and Theobald both went by the name Paul Rich later in life. In 1933, Paul Rich (Theobald) was definitely placed in Long Island, possibly Flushing or Queens. He was 53 years old at the time. He also had a niece, Emily Millett (nee Rich), who lived in Manhatten. Any info would be helpful, as this is one of my last possible connections.
