I believe that Benton is in Franklin County which is close to Hamilton Co. I believe that Joel may have been born in Kentucky around 1835 to 1839 and he died Dec. 15 1879 I think Williamson Co. Joel married Susan Stalcup on April 26th 1860 in Benton ILL. they had a daughter named Josephine (Jossie) that married into the Summers/Somers family of Franklin Co. ILL.
