I've posted tgius before but some newer members may have some leads: [missing Rich family members] Family of Marshall Howell Rich(TN-MS) son of Jacob Rich(NC-TN). Mystery surrounds several Rich family members of this branch whose Location after 1880 and their descendants have not been discovered. Rachel L. Rich(born Rachel L. McAninch Sep 28 1850) was last located With the family in Chickasaw County MS in the 1870 census. The mother of Rachel and ten of the sons, Louisa Jane, was located under the name Reich in the 1880 census of Columbia county AR with two sons John Rich and Jacob Rich. Louisa Jane Rich returned to north MS where she is buried(died Apr 26, 1894). Missing since 1880 are: Savannah Rich born 27 Oct 1845 TN Rosann Rich(born 1846 TN) Mary Ann Rich born 2 Sep 1847 TN Edward C. Rich born 7 Dec 1948[Edward was known to be the 1880 Fayette county TX census] Louisa V. Rich born 11 may 1851 TN Benjamin Brooks Rich born 18 mar 1854 Rachel L. Rich born Sep 28, 1850(born McAninch-changed her name) Jacob Rich (3rd)born 1 Dec 1859 MS Samuel Rich born 24 Jul 1870 MS Joseph P. Rich born 8 Sep 1861 MS[buried Nacogdoches Tx-died 20 Feb 1944] Robert A. Rich born 1 Jan 1863 MS William Thomas Rich born 14 Feb 1866 MS Henry Clay Rich born 11 Oct 1867 MS(twin of Hampton)[died 8 Sep 1933 b.Nacogdoches TX] John Rich born 15 Oct 1864 MS-believed to have become a doctor in Louisville. KY. Two other brothers(Alexander and Hampton/twin of Henry) remained in MS where they have abundant descendants. An uncle of these(Edward C. Rich born 6 May 1825 TN) settled in Wise county TX. It has recently been reported(Palmer family in TX) that John went to Louisville KY and became a doctor there. More should be coming later on this development. Any leads appreciated.
