    3. Hey folks, I posted a message last night about a supposed Rich royal line and received about a dozen responses -- all to my personal e-mail address and not one of them copied to the list. While I appreciate the responses I feel I need to remind everyone that a list-serv is a mass mailing list. Activity is necessary for the list to survive. Don't be afraid to post everything to the list. If folks aren't interested, they can delete it or unsubscribe from the list. A few of the responses were indeed personal and that's fine. But, let's all remember that when one person asks a question, there may be 100 waiting to share in the answer. We have 278 members, which makes each of us a valuable resource to the rest.. By the way, the general concensus about the royal line was that various parts of it are still unproven. 3. Craig Rich et. al. I too have a List and have noticed that replies to posted messages sometimes go directly to the person posting the message and not to the list. I think that it has to do with the way rootsweb formats its List messages and the way that the Email programs work. If I hit the reply to message Icon to a message that arrived via a list, the Email is automatically addressed to the sender. However if I hit the reply to all (as I have done with this Email) it then goes both to the sender and the List. Thus the original sender will receive this email twice. 3. Jim (and others): I also use the "reply all" button in Netscape mail, although I know some other programs are set up differently. Hopefully folks will take a second look from now on to make sure the address: "rich-l@rootsweb.com" is showing in the To: line! Thanks for your input!
