Barbara, Even though I do not have Obedia or Alice in my direct line currently, I do have have a Vianna Rich who married my GGG-Grandfather George Rich. She too, was rumoured to be cherokee or possibly another tribe. We have tried for years to find a paper trail to verify this, but so far have been unable, and also do not know who Vianna's parents were, but apparently her maiden name was also Rich. The physical proof of her native american heritage shows up strongly in the dark complexion, chiseled features and coal blue/black hair of my mother brother, nephew and grandmother. Vianna variously went by Vienna, Vina and Viney. If you or anyone can help, its our most puzzling mystery.
