The Thomas that I have was my father-in-law, although he died before I was born. he is married in Trenton Me. I have a list of Rich's from a cemetery in Tremont Me. that I am trying to tie him into. My husbands people were suppose to have originated in the country in Tremont from England. my problem is to find out who were the parents of Thomas L Rich. Here is a list of Rich's in that cemetery. Sgt. Tyler Rich, he died in the Civil War in 1864-There is a John T Rich d. 1880 and wife Margaret d. 1895, they were the parents of Tyler. There is also a list of the children of JT & M. Rich, as follows. Melinda H Rich 1841-1846: Angus M. Rich 1840-1854; Thomas G Rich 1847-1857. Lucy A. Rich 1860-1860; Eugene Rich 1867-1868 Elias C. Rich d. 12/14/1867, age 88 yrs, 1 mo.,22 days. Sally his wife d. 12/5/1882. age 90 yrs. Sarah daughter of Elias C. d. 1857. John M. Rich 1853-1919 and Charlette his wife 1856-1925 Orville G. Rich son of John M. and Lottie d. 6/26/1880 age 11 yrs. 8 mos, 14 days. Charlotte B Rich 1854-1925 this may be a duplicate of Johns wife. Samuel G Rich, d. 4/23/1871, age 62 yrs. 4 mos. 8 days. and Clarisse his wife 11/19/1896. Sidney Rich 7/24/1845-2/26/1914. Loren D. Rich 2/2/1845-1/9/1923 Frank Pettigrove Rich 7/8/1857-11/19/1923 and Ethel Palvey Rich 12/12/1888-5/15/1972 Ethel F. Rich 1888-1972. This could be a duplicate stone. There are more old stones in the cemetery but they are undecipherable. The cemetery also contains some other names such as Nurphy and Dow. I believe this is the line that my late husband was died to, because there is such a similarity of names in his generation to those names on the stones. And his forebearers were suppose to have settled in Tremont Maine when they arrived here from England. I am doing the Rich search for my children who are Rich's. And interested in thier roots. I don't know if this will be of any help to anyone but I am sending my list. Betty. --WebTV-Mail-4230-3763--
