This is an addenda to Craig Rich's message of 3 Septeember. As a Director of the Rich Family Association I have assumed responsibility for collecting as much data a posssible on one of our some twenty different Rich lines. Mine is called the "Brookfield, MA Riches" as the earliest known progenitor, Thomas Rich, was living there when he died in 1702. Thomas married Mary Petty 6 April 1697 in Springfield, MA and shortly therefater they moved to Brookfield where they had four sons: Thomas, John, Ebenezer and Experience. So far we have traced over 2000 descendants and have good data on most all of the first four generations. Many descendants moved on to upper New York State. Several of us have tried for years to learn of Thomas' origins without success. Our best guess is that he came from the Channel Islands since on several documents he was cited as Thomas LaRich. If anyone has Rich ancestors who might fit into this line I would be delighted to hear from you and possibly be of help. On my side I would like to add more descendants to the data base. If anyone is descended from Experience Rich and his wife Hannah Goss, you are a Mayflower Descendant. Regards, Barrie Rich
