Subject: [Reynolds] John Reynolds Several people have written to me privately about John Reynolds who was the 1st governor of Georgia USA., so I shall let you all know what I know of him. I obtained a copy of his will via the PRO website. The will was probated on the 4th February 1788 in London, and he had been living in Sussex.England. He was a Vice Admiral of the White squadron of his Majesty's fleet . His wife was Maria Catherine, but he appears to be living with someone else at the time of death. There were 3 daughters, names unknown. I have read that he may be buried in Eastry, Kent, England but haven't been able to substantiate it. I have some Reynolds rellies also buried there, but so far can't find a link to them with the above mentioned John Reynolds. cheers Carolyn
