    3. Over the past few weeks I have enjoyed and looked forward to the postings by several of the people who monitor this sight and move about the "World of Reynolds." Some of the common themes are: "I am seeking ...." I am looking for... "Does anyone have information on..." One of the most recent advances and noteworthy subjects is the use of DNA testing as a tool for our Reynolds research. It is not a substitute for family history research, but it is a valuable tool to be used in conjunction with genealogical inquiry. Five, ten, or twenty years and further back, we did not have this technology to assist us in locating our "lost" Reynolds families. This is possible because a small portion of the Y chromosome found only in men and is passed from father to son. The Reynolds Surname DNA Project aspires to: · Support genealogists as they evaluate their current research · Validate certain conclusions where adequate documentation is not available or has not yet been found · Resolve a broad spectrum of genealogical research challenges · Prove which Lines are related and therefore share a common ancestor · Show how a Reynolds family tree spans multiple centuries If you can relate to any of the above points, shouldn't you at least check out what DNA testing for genealogical research is all about? You owe it to your ancestors to do so. http://www.reynoldsdna.com/. If you would like to discuss how it might help you please contact me. I would be eager and delighted to discuss.
