My grandfather Isaiah Parker had 17 children from 2 wives here in Johnson County, Ia. They were real pioneers when they came to Iowa from Indiana. Some of the things in the Early History of Johnson County about some of hardships, like having salt for winter and having to go so far for it and to get grain ground for flour. I think we have e-mailed before. Did you ever find out what happened to Emeline Johnson after she married Eli Pond and lived in Davis Co. Iowa. Of course Eliza Ann died her in Johnson Co. November 1855. The information I have on James Burt's father was Neunom and yes that Neunom was married twice. I have children of Neunon, by second marriage to Eleanor Kimball to be Robert S. and Salisbury. There were also 4 daughters. He was married to Rebecca Smith, who is James' Burt's mother. There was another brother named Robert and 5 sisters. Rebecca died in 1799. My cousin was at the Maryland Archives she found Neunom's will. It appears that Eleanor inherited everything and nothing went to his prior family. Her children were still minors when Neunom died, right after the war of 1812. She also found regiment records for James Burt, his brother Robert, and father Neunom in Queen Anne County. They lived outside of Centerville in the Island 100 area. One other info that I over looked goes back to Neunom Reynolds saying by his first wife he had James Burt and by his second wife he had two sons, one of whom was the father of Rev. J. C. Reynolds of Missouri, a christian preacher. I have the children of James Burt and the children of Neunom Wesley and of course Isaiah Parker my grandfather. May I ask which of James' Burt are you decended from? Leona
