Mother ( found her listed with 3 different names) Mary Job, Mary Purdy, and Polly. Couldn't find anything on a Mary Purdy, or Polly. Polly could have been a nickname. Mary Job b abt 1777 in Lewistown, Mufflin Cty, Penn d ???? Children John Purdy Mary.J. Benjamin.B. all born in Mufflin Cty, Penn John Purdy graduated from Jefferson Medical College, Philadelphia, Penn., in 1827. Practice medicine in Penn, in 1835 he went to Texas. Joined the Volunteer Auxiliary Cop of Texas in 1/14/1836. He was send to San Antonio de Bexar, became a member of Capt. William Harrison's Company. It is unsure whether he was a Doctor at the Alamo. He died at the Alamo one day before his 30th birthday.
