I just wrote about our Reynolds who settled in the Islands circa 1850-1856 with wife Bridget. Family says that he was sailing back and forth with lumber from Canada . He and Bridget settled in GrandTurk of th e Turks an Caicos Islands in the Caribbean. John went by the name John Ney Reynolds . he was in the salt trade until it faded and then he raised cattle on East Caicos and supplied meat to the Islands which at that period of time was not inhabited. It is still sparse with people but the West Caicos Island is now a resort at Provo. . My son is the Great great grandson of John Ney Reynolds. Nora was his daughter who married an American Dr. Baker and migrated to Ohio after the wedding in Grand Turk. Nora and Dr. Baker had Ruth Baker who married Bert R. Richeson. Their son Herman Baker Richeson and I married in 1941 in Ohio and had son James in 1943. Herman was killed in WWII in Jan 1945. So it is obvious that we are so interested in learning about his family. Any breakthrough is our hope. I was told that John ney Reynolds was born in Dublin Ireland but I have not found any confirmation of that. Will gladly exchange as well as appreciate any help.
