He was born in Shelldrake, Sullivan County, NY, and died in Beatrice, Gage County, Nebraska. It does not list his parents names, but did say they were the oldest and wealthiest families in that part of the state. Dr. Reynolds was one of the founding fathers of Beatrice, which is where I live, and was the first mayor of this city. He married Naomi Barcus, daughter of Jesse Barcus and Mary Blodgett on Oct 20, 1861 in Beatrice. The local courthouse has the marriage license listed, but they could not find it. Does anyone have info on Herman's parents? Tom
