He was from Grundy, Virginia and lived there off-and-on form most of his life. He met and married my mother in Logan, WV and they had two children...me and my sister Carolyn Sue. Dad also had Edith Gayle (Boise, Idaho)and Roy (Midland, Texas) by a preivous marriage and another son Chester "Chet" Reynolds ( Homestead, Fla.) after the breakup of his marriage with my mother. Me, Roy, and Gayle know for a fact that dad had other children by other women but we have limited info to find them. They only fact we have to find one of them is that dad had a daughter by a woman named "Pinkie" Horn somewhere in southern WV or within close proximity to Grundy, Va. For some reason, dad never did find out this particular daughter's name. However, two years before dad died he told me the brief ancestry that he knew of his family. According to him: three brothers migrated from either Ireland or Scotland sometime in the 1800's and settled in one of the Carolina states of the U.S. Also, their original name was actually either McReynolds or MacReynolds (I don't remember exactly which one). After arriving in the United States, they dropped the prefix of their name. One of the brothers got into a fight and accidently killed the man he was fighting with...and afraid he'd go to prison, he left in the middle of the night and migrated to the Grundy, Va area or southern WV area. A number of years went by and eventually the two remaining brothers (with their families) migrated to the same area and found the missing brother (and his family). This is all I remember but dad has one surviving sister still living in Grundy, Virginia. Her name is Hazel Stiltner (husband: Frenchman Stiltner). I don't know for sure but she may be able to supply more info.
