I suspect there were quite a few John Reynolds in those days. I haave a bookby Neal Casky, a descendant of Thomas Reynolds of Lincoln Co NC. This John remained in Lincoln Co. Even Neal Casky lived on the original grant until he was killed recently in a car crash. I do enjoy helping people, but I am limited in research these days. I am aaReynolds and have traced my line to Thomas Reynolds of NC who came from Cecil Co.
