Hi Carolyn, My ancestor, Daniel Reynolds, came to the US in the mid 1700s from England with his 4 sons, Claudius, Silas, David, and William. The family settled in Orange Co. NY. There is a letter in my Reynolds family that states that Colonial Governor John Reynolds of Georgia was the uncle of Daniel's grandson, John A. Reynolds, so that Daniel may be Gov. John's brother.
