John married a Phebe Grant (no information on her) in Aug 16, 1829. They had: Sarah Jane b. June 1, 1831 in Dearborn Cty, IN, Christopher Columbus b. Feb 18, 1833 in IN and Lucy b. Jul 23, 1836 in IN. Phebe died about 1836 and the family moved to Fulton Cty, IL. John remarried a Lovilla Williams b. 1825 in OH on Mar 31, 1845. They had: Porsia, Ella, Huron and Elmer. After 1850 they moved to Marshall Couty, IL. Christopher and Sarah went to CA with Jacob, John's brother, in 1852. The problem: In the 1880 census John states that his father was born in PA and his mother in VA. There was a Mary living with Jacob in the 1850 census. She must have died before they left for CA. Doing an elimination of Reynolds in the 1820 census in Dearborn County, IN, Isaac is the only one who fit. However, there are several Isaac's in Pa for the the time period. Which one? The Sarah named one of her children, Milton. Was that the middle name of John? Geri
