The earliest Reynolds in this area was a Richard Reynolds b. 1765 d. about 1838. He married to a Anna Holmes, b. 1770 d. about 1845. The children are as follows: Martha Margaret Reynolds b. about 1815, m. to Bennett Crafton. Andrew Mitchell Reynolds b. about 1800 m. to a Damsel Coghill. Died in Vigo, Indiana. Branson G. Reynolds b. about 1811 m. to a Permelia Huston in 1834, then to a Eliza Nation in 1846, died in Spencer County Kentucky James Joseph Reynolds b. about 1803 m. to a Malinda Jones, died in Union, Kentucky. Greenbury Reynolds b. about 1805 m. to a Nancy Vance Coghill and later to a Lavina. Died in Union, Kentucky. Elbert Reynolds b. about 1815 m. Mary Catharine Snider, died in Spencer County Kentucky. Enoch Reynolds b. about 1804 m. Rosy Sutt in 1824, Eliza Moore in 1833, Isabel Buckels in 1849. Died in Vigo, Indiana. Nancy Reynolds b. about 1804 m. Andrew Sutt, died possibly in Vigo, Indiana.
