My Reynolds line is in West Virginia. Reuben Reynolds, born abt 1784, married Jean Tanner in Harrison Co, (W)Va 10/31/1805. I find them in Lewis and Kanawha Co records, Reuben's will is recorded in Jackson Co in 1840 and he is mentioned in books about Jackson and Roane Counties. These records lead me to believe that his father is Benjamin, born 1759 in Richmond Co. Benjamin filed a claim for service in the Revolutionary War but was denied because he had no proof, and there is a lot of info in that claim. He moved from Richmond Co to Harrison Co in 1809, and died after 1833, in Lewis Co or possibly in Jackson Co. Hard to tell with the county boundaries changing whether he moved or the boundaries did, and I have not pinpointed where Reuben's property was. In 1830, Reuben was enumerated in Kanawha Co and had a male age 60-70 in the household. We assume this was Benjamin We're fairly sure that Benjamin was the son of Robert Reynolds and Ann White. At least they had a son Benjamin, born 1859, and we find the names Reuben and Vincent in this family, and Reuben named 2 of his sons Vincent and Benjamin. If my Ben is this son, then we connect to Christopher, but it would be nice to have other ideas, proof, etc. Betty www.wvpioneers.com
