Hi everybody - Hope you don't mind a personal update and then I will give my brick wall. My surgery went very well and I have been home for almost a week now. I am feeling much stronger but still not allowed to do much. This cancer is a metastasis from the one in my leg two years ago but my prognosis is still excellent. This type of cancer will not spread from the lung and all of my screening tests were clear so no tumors showed up anywhere else. Not sure yet if I will have to have chemo. But I got back on my computer lickety split - it sure helps pass the time. I really don't want to go out around very many people because I sure don't want to come down with the flu after having lung surgery. My brick wall - (Reynolds DNA project helping chip away at it!) I am researching Daniel Reynolds. b. abt. 1774. In Knox County, Kentucky by 1800. I am descended from his son, Claybourne Reynolds, b. abt 1790. Claybourne lived and died in Whitley County, Ky. (formed from Knox Cty.) Some of his descendants went to Missouri, Oklahoma, Iowa and Tennessee. Some of you are familiar with the Reynolds DNA project and know that I tested my Uncle Simon Reynolds. So far we have 2 matches and these matches seem to be confirming that my line comes out of the immigrant Christopher Reynolds. I just recently expanded my DNA kit to the 37 marker test and that will hopefully get us a few generations closer. The DNA project has given us the most progress we have made in several years. I strongly urge as many Reynolds researchers as possible to inquire about the DNA project and consider participating. It might be the best money you ever spent for the value you get back.
