My brick wall is William REYNOLDS, born 27 Nov 1805 in NY. Married 20 Oct 1835 in Poughkeepsie, Dutchess County, NY to Jane DeGROFF. William died 16 Jul 1870, Elmira, Chemung County, NY. He is buried at Woodlawn Cemetery in Elmira. In the newspaper announcement of their marriage, William is noted as being "from Ellenville" which is in Ulster County, NY.
