My Reynolds ancestors (the earliest well-documented ones) came from Wilkes County,North Carolina. This was Elisha Reynolds, b. there in 1755. His father was probably a John Francis Reynolds b. 1710 in Virginia, and I would like to get more solid evidence of that. Elisha's son, Ivy Reynolds, b. 1793 migrated to Johnson County, Illinois about 1817. That line has been in Southern Illinois ever since.
