I'm looking for information on William B. (maybe Bedford) Reynolds. He was married to Susan Patience Kelly. The 1850 census list his as follows: Census: LN HN FN LAST NAME FIRST NAME AGE SEX RACE OCCUP. VAL. BIRTHPLACE 11 82 82 REYNOLDS WILLIAM 25 M FARMER 260 MO 12 82 82 REYNOLDS SUSAN 30 F KY 13 82 82 REYNOLDS HENRY 3 M KY 14 82 82 REYNOLDS JOSEPH 1 M MO I believe The Henry listed here is my GGGrandfather, Henry Clay Reynolds, but the sources I have are too sketchy to be considered reliable. If you have anything at all please let me know.
I am SO glad to see all the activity on here! Maybe someone who is descended from these Reynolds...Lee and Emma...will be reading the list! Lee Reynolds and his wife Emma are on the 1900 census for Jasper County, Missouri, in the town of Mineral. Lee was 22..so born about 1878...his wife Emma who was a Malone, I believe, was 17, born about 1883.....Lee was born in Missouri as were both his parents according to the census. Emma was born in Mo and so were her parents. Her mama was a Garrison from my line. Living with them was Emma's grandmother..my great great grandmother.....Lucinda Garrison. By 1910 I am told that Lee and Emma were in Quapaw, Oklahoma. I am trying to locate descendants of this couple to see if they know what happened to Lucinda. I am told she lived to be over a hundred..which means she would have lived past 1924..but she is not in the 1910 census with Lee and Emma. Did she die in Oklahoma or before she left Mo., and the "over a hundred" story not true..or did she go live with someone else when Lee and Emma moved to Oklahoma? Anyone out there related to Lee and Emma? Thanks!~ Marti

I am still searching for my brick wall-John Reynolds b. Ohio in 1808. In the 1880 census he lists his father as being born in PA. He had a brother, Isaac and a sister, Prudence. These could have been half-sibings. He lived in Dearborn County, IN until about 1835 and moved to Fulton county, IL and then to Marshall county, IL. Anyone? GEri

I'll repost my information.......... Tilmon (or Tillman) Reynolds born 1805 in South Carolina married Elizabeth Moore Day in 1832 in Forsyth County Georgia. They moved into Troup County by 1850. Their eldest daughter, Mary, married Andrew Mosely/Mobely? Tilmon had a land grant given to him in Randolph County Alabama due to his service in the military. Their daughter Loucinda Reynolds married David Franklin Huddleston. According to the pension application that Elizabeth filed from Texas Tilmon passed on in 1871 in Georgia. He served under Captain Hardin. David and Loucinda's son, Rufus Culp Huddleston married Mary Etta Bowling, my Grandparents. My line continues through Buck Franklin Huddleston who is my father. Merry Christmas and Happy New Year to you all, Mary
Betsy Lee b Sept 23, 1799(daughter of Sgt. Wm Lee and Drusilla Staples) married Charles Reynolds of Taylor Co., KY earlier this was Green Co..........Whose son is this Charles and who were their children? I have a direct ancestor Charles Moorman md Elizabeth REYNOLDS.........their daughter Judith Moorman md a Douglass and they ended up in Green Co., KY..........Does anyone have proof that this Elizabeth Reynolds was the daughter of Christopher Reynolds??? and what his wife's maiden name was? Betsy Lee-Reynolds "family" married several times in the White family of Taylor Co., (early Green Co.KY) and earlier Charlotte Co. VA. Betsy Lee Reynold's sister Sarah Lee married Wm E. Gaines whose grandmother was Sarah White md to Rev. Thomas Hollinger Gaines of Charlotte Co. VA later to Taylor Co. Ky (early Green Co., KY in the Meadow Creek area) Other relationships to the Reynolds family though this line was Charles M. Reynolds, Crews Reynolds, Frances Reynolds, Kathryn Reynolds, Mary E. Reynolds, Sterling Price Reynolds and Virginia Reynolds. This Sterling Price Reynolds (who were his parents?) He was related to the John Price and Martha White family of Virginia to Green Co., KY etc. This Reynolds goes back to Va to the White, Williams, Price, Motley's etc. ..........Anyone know more about his line? Just found new info on JAMES DANIEL REYNOLDS, who was son of JAMES REYNOLDS AND ELIZA SPURLING REYNOLDS. James' name was also written as JAS. D REYNOLDS. This is in his Civil War papers. JAMES DANIEL REYNOLDS was born 5 JULY 1844, Campbellsville, Taylor Co. KY. He was with CO F 60 IL US INF, not the 16th IL US INF. He enlisted at age 16, and was 5'3" tall, dark hair, light complexion, and blue eyes. He, like so many ohters, had dysentery, vertigo, sunstroke, and manyother vicious maladies. In his latter years, he had chronic menningitis. I also found out that Isabel White, James' wife, remarried a Samuel Reynolds after James died, 9 MAR 1913. He must have died before 1916 as he is not listed in the IL death index. Isabel died 9 JAN 1922. Isabelle was born in Crawford Co, probably Robinson, and not in Casey County.KY. Casey Co is where Isabel's father, George White was born, and possibly her mother. the Crawford County 1860 census shows Sarah as married to George. They married in Crawford in 1851, so Sarah can't be Isabel's mother. Her obituary says Sallie Turner White was her mother. It is possible that Sallie and Sarah could have been related. Or Sallie and Sarah are the same person, and Isabelle just knew her as her mother. I think Isabel must have lost her mom at a very young age, or she left George and family. So, I James Daniel's brother, William I (T) and his son, James Thomas both served in the Civil War also. Trying to find out what happened to Mildred Reynolds, their sister. Think she may have married in KY. She may have been born in Hart, Green or Taylor Co. Possibly Louisville, as James and Eliza were there for a time, left to IL, then came back where Eliza died in 1857. James and Eliza married 1 JULY 1830. James Reynolds remarried Mrs. Martha Pearson, who had three daughters. John , James Daniel;s brother shows as 4 years old, b KY in the 1860 Crawford Census. James and Martha married in Crawford. so think John was born in 1855 in Louisville, where his mother, Eliza died. If anyone knows about this John Reynolds, would appreciate any info. And would anyone know who the parents of James Reynolds and Eliza Spurling are, and where they may have come from? Thanks Marsha Kentucky

To All, OK.. got it figured out. WOW! lost of reading to do here Nov. 1996 to Now). What I've read so far, there is a LOT of history here and a good cross-section of Reynolds families. WRFAz Jim
Venturing forth here makes me understand how the "emperor with no clothes" must have felt, if he came to that realization. Is this list still active? All that I could find were postings from 1998. If anyone per chance gets this e-mail I would like to know. Best regards, Jim R. Hull
