    1. Reynolds DNA Project
    2. I thought I would pass along the news (for anyone researching Daniel Reynolds of Knox County / Whitley County, Ky.) that we have an exact match on all 25 markers on the Reynolds DNA project. Another researcher tested and matched my Uncle Simon Reynolds (descended from Daniel) on all 25 markers. I did the 37 marker test on my uncle but the other Reynolds researcher just did the 25. The other researcher (not sure if he wants to be identified but he'll let us know if he does) can trace his line back to Nathaniel Reynolds, b. abt 1700 in Virginia. This will require some researching but it looks promising. There is a Daniel Reynolds b. 1771 in that line according to the LDS Family History Library records. More later. Happy Thanksgiving everybody! Jan Wilson Kings Mills, Ohio

    2. Hi Carolyn, My ancestor, Daniel Reynolds, came to the US in the mid 1700s from England with his 4 sons, Claudius, Silas, David, and William. The family settled in Orange Co. NY. There is a letter in my Reynolds family that states that Colonial Governor John Reynolds of Georgia was the uncle of Daniel's grandson, John A. Reynolds, so that Daniel may be Gov. John's brother. I would be interested in any information you have about this family. Lois

    3. Subject: [Reynolds] John Reynolds Several people have written to me privately about John Reynolds who was the 1st governor of Georgia USA., so I shall let you all know what I know of him. I obtained a copy of his will via the PRO website. The will was probated on the 4th February 1788 in London, and he had been living in Sussex.England. He was a Vice Admiral of the White squadron of his Majesty's fleet . His wife was Maria Catherine, but he appears to be living with someone else at the time of death. There were 3 daughters, names unknown. I have read that he may be buried in Eastry, Kent, England but haven't been able to substantiate it. I have some Reynolds rellies also buried there, but so far can't find a link to them with the above mentioned John Reynolds. cheers Carolyn

    3. I AM POSTING THIS QUERY AGAIN . . . I have been helping a friend sort through old RECKINGER family pictures. We have found a few with the names of B. J. REYNOLDS and W.G. REYNOLDS on the back, who were in the military with JOHN RECKINGER during WWII. Jeanine
