Henry Lee Reynolds is my g-grandfather on my mother's side. He was married to Sarah Ella Jones. They had the following children: Allie May, Ora Neal, Murphy, Blanche, Daisey, and Henry Wilson Reynolds. His wife Sarah was born in 1872 and died in 1958 in Houston. The only information I have on Henry Lee is that his parents names were "BUD" Reynolds and "LIZ" Turner. Nicknames aren't much to go on, especially if I can't even find Henry Lee. When he was born in 1868? He came to Houston in the late 1920's. He and Sarah lived with their daughter Allie May. He died in 1931 in Houston. I know that their oldest daughter who is my grandmother, Allie May was born in Sanford Mississippi, so they were in Mississippi in May of 1896. If anyone has any information on this Reynolds family please contact me. Reynolds and Jones are very hard families to pinpoint - well - mine anyway. I am looking for information on Lewis Reynolds, born 1808 in Albany Co. NY. His first wife was named Emily, according to the death records of his son Alonzo, born circa 1839 or 40. His second wife is named Deborah and is listed with him on the 1855 census of Nanticoke, Broome Co. NY. They had moved there just 2 years before, so should still be in Albany Co. for the 1850 census. I had thought that the Lewis reynolds in Bern, Albany Co. was him because he was on the 1850 census index, but not on 1860. However, the 2nd one was in Westerloo and that is where the 2nd wife, Deborah, returned to after Lewis died in 1860. Does anyone out know anything about the Albany Co. branch of the family, or might be willing to look them up in the 1850 census for me? Vicki

A large family gathering of Reynolds, Roberts, Seavey/Seavy's, Day's, Guptill's, etc - left Wesley/Crawford Maine (Washington County)and headed west to Minnesota to do logging/homesteading. Several small groups split off in Iowa, Ohio and Illinois, one of those seems to have found Kentucky along the Kentucky/Ohio border. One Roberts brother is known to have continued to California for the gold rush. One of the Seavey's who went with the group to California was left, too ill to travel, on the side of the trail in Utah. He 'took up with the Mormons' as the family reported - and George Washington Seavy became one of the founders of the LDS movement - had 8 or 9 wives and a group and a half of children. (Fun to try and trace /that/ group!) Anyway - the point of this is - if you have dead ends in your Roberts clan along that string of states - take a look in Washington County, Maine. -----Original Message----- From: [email protected] [mailto:[email protected]]On Behalf Of [email protected] Sent: Wednesday, January 09, 2002 11:20 AM To: [email protected] Subject: [Reynolds] Wesley W.Reynolds, Eliza Wing Root.
