Brenda, After I wrote my note about my Joseph Reynolds brick wall I checked some of my Reynolds records. In 1997 a Marilyn Millwe had a website that included many, many Fulton Co. IL. folks. I printed off the Reynolds portion of her information. Her information for our Joseph Reynolds was that which I mentioned on the Reynolds list. I checked and her records had your Solomon Reynolds born 1819 in PA. , marriage April 02, 1837 in Fulton Co.IL.. She then closed her website and turned over her records to the Kindred Konnections website http://www.mytrees.com. (a fee website) I tried to contact her many times in order to get sources for the information she gave but she never responded. I hope this helps just a little bit. (I have unverified information that he was born in 1822 in Washington Co. Indiana and am trying to find proof of this). Most of the children were born in Fulton Co. IL. Reynolds ABINGDON-Mr. Cecil C. Reynolds, 67, died Wednesday, Jan. 2, 2002, at home. He was a lifelong resident of Washington County and attended First Church of God in Abingdon. He was preceded in death by his father; two sisters; and one brother. Survivors: his son, Mark Jones of Reicon, Ga.; his mother, Sarah Reynolds of Abingdon; three brothers, William Junior Reynolds, Ronald Reynolds and David Reynolds, all of Abingdon; five sisters, Nannie Elizabeth Cox, Cecelia Rierson, Regina McCracken and Darlene Ramsey, all of Abingdon, and Volga Anderson of Cincinnati; two grandchildren; three great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews. Greaveside services will be conducted Saturday at 2 p.m. in Sinking Springs Cemetery with Pastor Bob Neace officiating. Pallbearers will be Bobby Sailor, Willie Whittaker, Curties Musick, Walter Oliver, Kevin Castle and Marty Holloway. Honoarary pallbearers will be Lewis Camper, Roger Anderson, Larry Anderson and Bill Bolling. The family wil! l receive friends Friday from 7-9 p.m. at the funeral home. Family and friends will gather at the funeral home Saturday for the procession to the cemetery. My husband's family is the Laban Reynolds/Polly Cousins lineage from Illinois. I, too, researched the Reynolds line and came up empty at Laban. Polly, however, descends from the John Barteaux family that came over from Paris, France to New York in 1670. My husband is Scott Albert Reynolds (age 43) and his father is Elwood Gerald (Jerry) Reynolds whose grandparents were Stephen Ray Reynolds and Edna Boles and whose great grandparents were Jacob Welcome and Nancy Louisa Corbin. Nancy came to Sandpoint, Idaho after Jacob died in 1922. That's how this side of the Reynolds clan got here. You have a far removed cousin who is a Boles who has also done research and she, too, came up empty at Laban. Sounds mysterious and I love a good mystery...Please tell me where you fit into this...
