hi faye, i don't know who your message was addressed to, but i am very interested in: a) the info you have on the REYNOLDS from the UK b) in your name! i have an entry in the 1881 UK census, and the name has been transcribed as 'FABE', i always knew this was incorrect, but i believed it could have been 'pheobe', as this was a name from further back. it's not until seeing your name, that i realised it probably is the same. could you please post your family info? kind regards, mair south wales, UK

Hello All! Looking for information on BENJAMIN FRANKLIN REYNOLDS who married ALICE BRIKA (spelling may be incorrect). They had 5 children...Maude, Imogene, Winifred (my grandmother), Beulah, and Forrest. I believe they came from Kansas in the Wichita area. Was going through records of the Pequea Reformed Church (now Zion United Church of Christ) at New Providence, Lancaster Co. PA today. I found references to Patrick Hewit Reynolds listed as baptized on his death bed on Jan 25, 1872. Also listed was Ann Reynolds, baptized on April 28, 1872. There were several other Reynolds names that I did not jot down. If anyone is interested, I will make notes and post further info to the list next week when I go back through the records. ===== -- "Freedom is the ability to get outside yourself and lose yourself in the thought and activities of others." email: [email protected] Home Page: http://www.geocities.com/pndennis __________________________________________________ Do You Yahoo!? I have a picture of him and his first wife. On the back of the picture it says "George and Jeanie" . His first wife died while he two children were very small. He brought them to Texas on a wagon train in the 1890s. He met a widow woman with 4 children and they married and had about 9 children. Orsborne Lee and Maude were children of the first wife. I found a George W. listed in the 1870 Tenn. census as a 12 year old in school. His father was named George. I also found a George W.that married a Baker girl (could not read first name) in Knox county. Igf you think this is the same person let me know and I will send you a copy of the picture. The Reynolds in Factoryville were probably from the Robert Reynolds line (Rev War ancestry) or from the George Reynolds of Exeter line. (That's mine). Also I've got info on a Reynolds-Whitman connection that may be a clue. Write me at [email protected] & I can tell you more.

Dear Glenn, We will be looking for clues - I know that there are various unrelated Reynolds families in the UK/Ireland. We are now (for a while) in The Netherlands, looking for evidence/links with the Reijnolds, Reijnold, Reijnoldt and Reijnoldus families (note the difference in spelling) in the Benelux region. Apparently these families are related (1500 - 1770's) with the Reynolds' in the UK/Ireland. Do you have any links/ideas further information, etc. Also, we would like to have some idea - origin - of Shelly's family line (Shelly: born December 30, 1966 in Bakersfield, CA, USA). Unfortunately, her father died - and we cannot find the origin of her family. If you, or someone else can help, please let me know. We will let you know if we notice any of the links to the Reynolds family mentioned. Kind regards, Peter Hofland & Shelly C. Reynolds ----- Original Message ----- From: "Glenn G. My John Reynolds who married Mary Ann Burke in Forester Falls, Canada July 24, 1850 may have come from Ireland too. Mary was born 1818 Shillelagh, Wicklow, Ireland. I can't find anything on John except the marriage date. She died in Forester Falls, Ontario, Canada in 1897 so he may have died and been buried there too. Would love to exchange info with anyone out there, if there is such a person. Margaret

Dear Peter Hofland, If you are searching Reynolds family in the UK, and are in the UK, I would be much obliged if you could keep an eagle eye out for me regarding my Fathers cousin, and his family Frank J. Reynolds, born about 1888 in either Iowa, or Illinois, USA. He was the only son of Elmer Jerome Reynolds, and his wife Minnie. During the early 1900's frank served in the US Army and it is know that when his father died in 1911, he was stationed at Fort Riley, Kansas. (An Army remount station of US Cavalry). When World War I broke out, he had just been discharged from the US Army. He felt compelled to join the Canadian Expeditionary Forces, and is believed to have belonged to a Sapper Unit. His Regimental # is 2500559. At the end of the War he returned to England, and Married an English lady, whose given name is believed to be have been Nellie. Subsequently they had two daughters, believed to be Minnie Amelia Reynolds, and Dorothy Mae Reynolds. It is believed that they were born in the early part of the 1920's and may still be residing in England. I do not know if they were ever married, and what their married names became, or the names of any children. Do you have any clues how I might find information relating to this family??. I believe that for a while the lived near Sandwich, England. Any clues, information, or suggestions would be deeply appreciated. Respectfully, Glenn G. Reynolds
I am wondering the same thing. My Reynolds is from ireland.

I believe Eliza is daughter of Richard Reynolds b. abt. 1802 in GA, and wife Fanny b. about 1803 in GA. (as per 1850 Graves census). There are early Reynolds in Graves on the 1824 Tax List; specifically Richard, and a Frances who I believe is probably Richard's mother. My (unproven) theory is that the line is a Joseph and Frances Reynolds who came to western KY prob. abt. 1805, lived 1st in Muhlenberg, then Hopkins, and then in Caldwell where Joseph seems to have died around 1822. Seems that Frances and children may have then moved on to Graves. I believe Joseph is connected with Pittsylvania/Henry Co. VA Reynolds who spent a generation or so in Oglethorpe/Wilkes Co. GA before moving to western KY.
