Hello Everyone! I am again trying to contact any Reynolds in the Lowell Ma area that might know of my fathers family; George Henry Reynolds. Geo. H Reynolds married a Edith R. Heaney and they lived at 15 Anderson street, Lowell Ma for many years. They had three sons; George Henry abt 1916, Edward Arthur abt 1919 and William Caldwell abt 1920. Even though this is my father's family, I know very little about them and most of the information I have passed George Henry Reynolds is oral information that my sibs and I can remember. I know there are living relatives in the area, but I don't know how to contact any of them. So, if you are listening cousin, please contact me. Also, I could use some help in research in the Lowell area. If you can help, please let me know. I just wrote about our Reynolds who settled in the Islands circa 1850-1856 with wife Bridget. Family says that he was sailing back and forth with lumber from Canada . He and Bridget settled in GrandTurk of th e Turks an Caicos Islands in the Caribbean. John went by the name John Ney Reynolds . he was in the salt trade until it faded and then he raised cattle on East Caicos and supplied meat to the Islands which at that period of time was not inhabited. It is still sparse with people but the West Caicos Island is now a resort at Provo. . My son is the Great great grandson of John Ney Reynolds. Nora was his daughter who married an American Dr. Baker and migrated to Ohio after the wedding in Grand Turk. Nora and Dr. Baker had Ruth Baker who married Bert R. Richeson. Their son Herman Baker Richeson and I married in 1941 in Ohio and had son James in 1943. Herman was killed in WWII in Jan 1945. So it is obvious that we are so interested in learning about his family. Any breakthrough is our hope. I was told that John ney Reynolds was born in Dublin Ireland but I have not found any confirmation of that. Will gladly exchange as well as appreciate any help. Tillman's book and many others have very confusing and undocumented accounts of early VA Reynolds family. I appreciate Cindy and J.P. file and ref. to Faust on Gencircle for helping me with many Questions I've had.Tillman stated that Christopher on Francis and John was born in 1611 son of George; if this Chris came on John and Francis he would be only 10 yrs old strange for family with large shipping business. That was sending many sons for business to Caribbean and colonies; On St.Thomas, Jamaica and Barbados and other Islands shipping records I've found Reynolds name on manifest frequently to and from England during 16th and early 17th century. Another source; Taken from "Reynolds of Isle of Wight" Christopher Reynolds, ancestor of this family, came over in the "John and Francis" in 1622. In 1623 he was shown as one of the survivors of the Indian Massacre at Edwards Bennett's plantation called Bennett's Welcome. There were 53 persons killed at his plantation, and the survivors, among whom was Christopher Reynolds, numbered only 33. Before the General Court held at Jamestown March 18, 1625, "Christopher Reynolds, sworne and examined sayeth that he did see and read Peter Collins indenture and that he was bound to serve Mr. Bennett ." With a wealthy Grandfather, why indentured.Orphans even wealthy were sometimes apprenticed but it makes more sense that the Christopher on" Francis and John" was son of Christopher b 1530, who with brother Nathaniel was involved in vast shipping and trading business from London. He had four sons eventually traveled to the New World; Richard, Christopher and Robert went to Virginia. William landed in Bermuda.I'm working to correct my files.A few years ago it took me forever to get false Clayton information off. I am interested if anyone has found any of Christopher or Nathaniel descendents that settled in Islands .

I am a decendent of one of his brothers, but I'm not sure which one...in my research, "Reynolds Reynolds" was listed for the name of my ancestor instead of a first name. Do you have any other information on the male children of Samuel and Theophila Reynolds? My line comes down from this "Reynolds Reynolds" through his son, Thomas J. Reynolds (b. 2 Apr1796).

Reynolds was the first white child borned in Parker Co. I have tried to connect with this person but have desided they are not same. The biggest problem is that my grandfather was very young when his mother died and he never told the family much about his early life.He had both step brothers& sisters as well as half brothers and sisters. My grandfather was Orsborn Lee Reynolds and his sister was Maude (Mulnax)
