Hi Everyone, I am visiting my daughter in Louisville Kentucky. In this city is Cave hill Cemetery, established in 1848. I had a lead on another family line, that a possible ancestor was buried in this Cemetery. So off we went to investigate. Being a die hard RENSHAW researcher, while in the cemetery office I asked if any RENSHAW'S were buried here. Well, there are seven in two plots, but all are related. So here is the info and I also have photo's of the grave sites and the hard copies of the cemetery records. If any of these belong to you please contact me at mylhasa@softcom.net. I also have had the opportunity to visit Louisville Public Lib. They have a wonderful collection of birth & death records in book form. I copied several pages from various years. Will post later. The following is the cemetery records and I am including birth dates as shown on the stones. Miss Elizabeth Renshaw b. 1895 d. 1918 buried (bu.)10/18/1918 Homer S. Renshaw b. 1863 d. 1928 bu. 5/22/1928 Mrs. Metta Renshaw Brinke b. 1901 d. 1931 bu. 6/9/1931 Mrs . Lettie Quast Renshaw b. 1871 d. 1931 bu. 10/4/1961 Miss Marguerite m. Renshaw b. 1893 d. 1979 bu. 5/18/1979 Homer Q. Renshaw b. 1905 d. 1982 bu. 9/27/1982 All of the above are buried in the same plot. In a separate plot is buried this lady, however the cemetery record states this is the wife of Homer Q. Renshaw: Mrs. Sarah Bohan Renshaw b. 6-18-1904 d. Nov 4 1960 Directly behind the grave of this lady is the grave of one William Potter Bohan b. 2/!5/!903 d. 8/31/1955 Believe good chance these two are related. BTW Louisville is in Jefferson County.
