This is in response to the post by Ted Rozmaryn: According to the 1900 census for Kent County, Michigan, Miriam Bryant (who is called Marion on the census) arrived in this country in 1880. Since Ted states that the family appears on the 1881 British census, Miriam's memory must have been off by a year or so. I would look for her entry into the U.S. shortly after the census date. Eleanor
