Hi All, Eleanor 's suggestion to list our brick walls is a great idea. Please join in and post yours here in our list. Here is one of mine; I have four Renshaw men, I believe were brothers. All of which resided in Chester county, PA for a while. Born between 1794- 1807. The first two, James b. 1794 & Richard b. 1802 I can pretty much prove are related. These two resided & are buried Phoenixville. The third man William Renshaw b. 1804, He is said to have been born in Phoenixville married Martha Jenkins and moved to Luzerne county by 1840.( This man is Rusty Renshaw's, a prior list members ancestor. I have been unable to make contact with Rusty to see if we could prove the relationship.) The fourth was Joseph Renshaw b. 1807, residing in Phoenixville in the 1850 census, with a wife Christianna and 3 children, George age 15, William age 5, May or Mary age 1. By the 1860 census he has moved from Phoenixville and possibly to another state. Does anyone have a Joseph born around the same time with their birth place given as PA. Hi, all. It's been a long while, but I thought I'd ask again. My great grandmother was Miriam Elizabeth Renshaw, b Sep 4, 1872, New Basford, Nottinghamshire, England. She was the daughter of Sarah Ann Mimmack, b May 28, 1842, Bolton upon Dearne, Yorkshire, England, and Henry Renshaw, b October 1841, Warsop, Nottinghamshire, England. She had two sisters, Sarah Ann, b 1866?, and Gertrude, b 1875?, and a brother, Samuel, b abt 1871. In 1881, according to the British Census, they lived in Plumstead, Kent, England. My next record has Miriam married to Lafayette Bryant about 1894 in, or near, Lowell, Kent County, Michigan, and I can find no record of the rest of her family. Does anyone have this Renshaw family? I'm trying to determine a couple of things. 1. What happened to the rest of her family? 2. When did Miriam come to the US? Thanks Ted Rozmaryn Anderson, CA
