However I thought the info in the letter might help someone out there. ------------------------------------------ My name is CHARLES DIXON RENSHAW I am in the process of tracing the RENSHAW SURNAME as far back as possible. I would appreciate any assistance you could give me in your RENSHAW FAMILY as far back as you can go. I have traced my RENSHAW SURNAME as far back as 1839 to RENSHAW, (Pope County) Illinois. My Great-Great-Great Grandfather was E.E. RENSHAW??? My Great-Great Grandfather was ELIJAH SIMPSON RENSHAW My Great-Grandfather was ELMER ELLSWORTH RENSHAW My Grandfather was ARTHUR ELLSWORTH RENSHAW My Father is LESLIE LEE RENSHAW My Great -Great Grandfather was born in the state of Tennessee, September 26, 1835. He had (1) brother as far as I know. JOHN RENSHAW, he had (2) sisters, SARAH, and ELNOR. My Great Grandfather was born in the state of Illinois at RENSHAW, July 5, 1861. He had (4) brothers; HUGH, TOBE, OSCAR, and PERRY; (2) sisters, NINA and DAISY. My Grandfather was also born in RENSHAW, Illinois on October 11, 1881. He had no brothers, but had (5) sisters; IVY, MYRTLE, GRACE, MINNIE, and OPAL. My father was also born in RENSHAW, Illinois on June 10, 1907. He is still living. He had (3) brothers; CARL RENSHAW (living), ARTHUR WADE RENSHAW, (living) WHITNAL ARNOLD RENSHAW (deceased) and (2) sisters, EDNA and LOUISE. I was born in Jacksonville (Duval County) Florida on March 9, 1931. I have (2) brothers BILLY LEE RENSHAW born April 9, 1929, Jacksonville; ARTHUR ELLSWORTH RENSHAW, born March 11, 1933, and (1) sister BETTYE SUE, born March 2, 1935. My wife is MILDRED LENORA (HARRIS) RENSHAW. We have (3) sons, CHARLES DIXON, Jr., LESLIE LEE and HERBERT BERNARD. We also have (4) daughters; CHARLENE, MILDRED, TWILA and MAXENE. If you could send me anything that you know about your RENSHAW FAMILY, I would appreciate it very much.
