Calling ALL REID's and all the septs of Clan Robertson (Donnachaidh) in the Anchorage area of Alaska! We have our very own Alaskan Scottish Club right here in Anchorage. What an honor it is to represent our heritage in a way to make our Ancestors so very proud of us. This Thursday, October 7th at 6 p.m. there will be a planning meeting which will cover, among other things, the Games 2000. We will have childcare available and also pizza. Please everyone come. If you are interested, please email me right away so that we know how much pizza to order. This is a great opportunity for all of us who are of Scottish descent to show our pride and humility (I know, contradiction) in all that we know about our families and Clan. Membership is of minimal cost and the benefits far outweigh anything monetary! This year, at the Highland Games, I noticed no one was "representing" our Clan tartans or regalia. What a shame it was to know that there were probably many of us there and none of us could identify each other as who we are.
