My George Washington Reed was born in Merriwether County Ga in 1837. He also lived in Franklin County Ga. He had at least the following three children: John William, Callie, and Emmy. There may have been more I don't know for sure. John William and Callie both died in SC. John William was married to Alice Roach and their children were Dewey Henry, Leonard, Ossie Belle, John Henry, and Guy William. Three died in SC, 1 in Alabama, and one probably in Ca. My George was married to a Mary and she remarried a Vaughn after George died. George was wounded at the Battle of Richmond. It shortened his leg by 5 to 6 inches and years after it was still "leaking". He was a very short man. Let me know if we can connect. Pat
