(I also have Dan Johnson's SAE on Reid/Reed/Read). What I do know (perhaps) is that Joseph REID, born Scotland, married Margaret WARREN, born Nova Scotia. Joseph and Margaret had a son, James Warren REID, b. 14 Sept. 1849, in N.B. James Warren Reid married Mary CLONEY, unknown date and place; their first child was born in 1873. The Cloneys lived in the Brockway, York Co., area and later migrated to Charlotte Co., N.B. James and Mary (Cloney) Reid immigrated to Eureka, Humboldt Co., CA c. 1877.
